Mentoring Program
Frances Harder and Dana Fried have developed a mentoring program designed to personally guide start ups in reaching their goals.
This is a multi-phase process.
Phase One:
The first phase involves an in-depth interview with you, where we conduct a 10-page questionnaire to learn everything about your business.
The areas of discovery include:
- Review and recommendations of the set up (corporation/LLC/Sole proprietor) of your business entiity
- Protection of your intellectual property (Trademarks/Designs/Trade secrets)
- Understanding and review of your product positioning and how we compare to your competition
- Product differentiation and concept, determine your difference in the market place. How we use this to attract sales reps and increase sell-thru at retail
- Review of your branding and development of your company story and management bio
- Defining your distribution outlets and who your target customer is.
- How are your samples being produced and currently costed.
- A review of your cash flow and financing you already have in place as well as additional funding sources available to you.
- Review of your current manufacturing capabilities and introductions to manufacturers either in the US or overseas.
- Provide and review manufacturing agreements in order to educate and protect you from manufacturing issues before they happen
- Your current operating budget and profit margins are reviewed to ensure you are correctly reporting results and making decisons based on accurate data
- Review your sales rep plan and sales budget and provide sales rep agreements and a plan to acquire show rooms or sales reps that would best represent your product and increase distribution based on your financial capability.
- Logistics and fulfillment to determine if you are efficient in accounting for inventory and getting your product to your customer.
- Goals, Dreams and exit strategy
These are just a few of the many areas covered in the questionnaire. Once the interview is completed we move to phase 2.
